Born and brought up in Shimla, television actress Rubina Dilaik needs no introduction. Widely known as the Choti Bahu of Indian television, a title she gained after her stint in a leading show by the same name, Rubina tasted success from her debut appearance. Her performance met with such rave reviews that she starred in the second season of her first serial too. Hailing from a small town and with absolutely no connections in the industry, Rubina’s hard work and achievements are a source of inspiration for generations to come who aim to make it big on the small screen.
August 26, 1987, born Rubina completed her schooling from Shimla Public School and graduated from St. Bede’s College in the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. While her hunger for versatile roles and her mettle as an actor is known to the world, what is not known how the petite beauty built herself a palace, brick by brick. Much before Rubina took the acting plunge, she had participated in the Miss Shimla beauty pageant in the year 2006 and followed up its victory.
She bagged the Miss North India Pageant trophy in 2008. A winner of two coveted titles, there was surely no stopping Rubina! She had set out to conquer the world, and a decade later, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that she has settled for nothing less.

Rubina’s stint in Punar Vivaah – Ek Nayi Umeed was another feather in her cap. Her portrayal of Divya is nothing short of an award-winning performance. The affable actor clearly knows no other way but to always have her viewers hooked onto her acting chops! A winner that she is after all.
Rubina, earlier in 2018, got married to the love of her life, actor Abhinav Shukla. The couple had a dream wedding in Shimla on June 21.
All said and done, this one’s got us connected to her performances for eternity. Agree?
